Fanworks Finder Home » RSS import information

Get your new listings up on Fanworks Finder automatically

If you know your way around RSS at all, you can set up an RSS feed for FanworksFinder that will import new fanworks listings automatically. Once you have your RSS feed set up, in accordance with the following guidelines, email the url to rss@fanworksfinder.com.

You will need to declare a namespace in your RSS file in order to serve FanworksFinder all the fields it needs. Namesapces are easy to set up. At the top of your XML file, you will have something like:

<?xml version='1.0' encoding='windows-1252'?>

Beneath that, add this line:

<rss version='2.0' xmlns:fanwork="http://www.fanworksfinder.com/fanworknamespace/">

These are the fields that will need to be in the file you send to us. An asterisk (*) means that that field is required. All other fields are optional (but nice to have).
